A boom across the mouth of the Berkeley Marina, to keep the oil out. No boats going in or out. I'm told that any boat that goes out into the oil will need to be repainted, because it doesn't wash off.

The ducks were obviously in distress, and the mother (I guess she was the mother) occasionally acted aggressively like this towards the ducklings.

Emeryville animal control tried hard to catch the ducks and help them, but they couldn't catch them.
